Activities in the laboratory. Development of electrodes for CGM devices.

Our laboratory continues to develop and optimize electrode membranes. A membrane is a thin layer of biocompatible and electrically conductive material containing an enzyme that plays a key role in glucose detection.

Our biosensor is capable of detecting blood glucose levels within the range of 0-35 mmol. The next stage involves developing a membrane application procedure to obtain electrodes with uniform sensitivity, which is critical to ensure the accuracy and reliability of CGM devices.

We are also working on adapting the membrane to natural chemical elements such as aspirin, paracetamol and others.
These improvements will enable making more efficient and accurate CGM devices that will encompass, match and in some ways perhaps even outperform those of competing companies.
